Classic Christmas Drinks for the Holidays

Here’s what you need:

For the batter:

  • 12 eggs (egg white and yolk separated)
  • 1/2 cup/1 stick softened butter
  • 1 tsp. cream of tartar
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 1 tsp.  Ground cinnamon 
  • 1 tsp.  Ground cloves 
  • 1 tsp.  Ground nutmeg 
  • 1 tsp.  vanilla extract
  • 2 ounces dark rum 

For the drink:

  • 4 ounces milk (hot; or hot water, or both)
  • 1 tbsp. Tom & Jerry Batter
  • 1-ounce dark rum (dark)
  • 1-ounce brandy or cognac

For garnish: 

  • Grated nutmeg

Here's how to make it:

To make the batter:

  1. Gather all the ingredients for the batter.
  2. Separate the egg white from the egg yolk and put each into individual bowls.
  3. Add cream of tartar to egg whites. Using a mixer whip it to make a meringue-like texture with stiff peaks.
  4. To a bowl of egg yolks, add the softened butter and sugar and whip until it is fully mixed and a liquid.
  5. Gently fold the egg yolk mixture into the egg whites.
  6. Mix in the cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, rum, and vanilla.
  7. Cover and store the batter in the fridge until it's time to make the drink.

To make the drink:

  1. Gather all the ingredients.
  2. Preheat the mugs that you will use for serving.
  3. Add 1 tablespoon of batter and 1 ounce each of dark brandy and rum to each mug.
  4. Fill with hot milk or water (or a combination of the two) and stir constantly until the drink is foamy.
  5. Garnish with grated nutmeg.
  6. Serve and enjoy!

Cranberry Mimosa Recipe

Your Thanksgiving and Christmas brunch is not complete without this delicious Cranberry Mimosa.

Here's what you need:

  • 1 cup sweetened cranberry juice
  • 1 bottle champagne
  • 12 fresh cranberries
  • 1 lime, halved
  • 2 tbsp. sugar

For garnish:

  • 4 small sprigs fresh rosemary

Here's how to prepare it:

  1. Rime champagne flute with lime and dip in sugar. 
  2. Into the glass, pour 1/4 cup cranberry juice and top with champagne.

For garnish:

  1. Use a toothpick to poke a hole through cranberries. 
  2. Thread rosemary skewer through cranberries.
  3. Put the skewer on top of the champagne flute

English Christmas Punch Recipes

  • 750 ml bottle of dry red wine
  • 750 ml bottle of dark rum
  • 3 cups strong brewed tea
  • 2 cups of sugar

  • 1/2 cup orange juice

For garnish:

  • 2 cups seasonal fruits (slices of orange or cranberries)

Here's how to make it:

  1. Gather all the ingredients.
  2. In a saucepan, heat all the ingredients, but do not allow it to boil.
  3. Stir well until sugar is dissolved.
  4. Into a heat-proof punch bowl, pour the heated mix and add seasonal fruits like cranberries and orange slices.

  1. In a saucepan, heat all the ingredients, but do not allow it to boil.
  2. Into a heat-proof punch bowl, pour the heated mix.
  3. Into a large ladle, put as much sugar as possible and put any excess sugar into the punch bowl.
  4. Soak the sugar in the ladle with rum.
  5. Flare-up the rum and sugar in the ladle and pour it into the bowl while still ablaze.
  6. Stir well and extinguish the fire.
  7. Pour the rest of the rum into the punch.
  8. Serve warm.

Poinsettia Recipe
