Cold-Weather Cocktails to Warm You Up

The best way to warm yourself up during the cold weather is with a cozy and delicious cocktail. The best cocktail recipes for colder days are the ones that will give you comfort, but not all of them are served hot. Some are served cold but can surely keep you toasty. These cozy cocktails contain brandy, rum, and whiskey spiked with cocoa, coffee, or tea. Here are some cold-weather cocktails that will take the chill out of your bones on winter days.

Mexican Hot Chocolate Cocktail Recipe by Town & County

Here's what you need:

• 6 oz. hot chocolate
• 2 oz. Tequila
• Pinch of ancho chili powder
• Pinch of ground cinnamon

Here's how to mix:

1. In a small bowl, mix in ancho chili and ground cinnamon, and stir.
2. Pre-heat a mug or a hot toddy glass with hot water.
3. Pour out the hot water.
4. In a heated glass, add spiced hot chocolate and tequila, and stir.
5. Garnish with a cinnamon stick.

• 1 ½ oz. amaretto
• ½ oz. cinnamon schnapps

Here's how to mix:

1. In a shot glass, pour the amaretto first and then the schnapps.

3. Garnish with a cranberry skewer.

• 1 oz. coffee liqueur
• 1 oz. ​rye whiskey
• 4 oz. ​milk (or cream)

Here's how to mix:

1. Into an old-fashioned glass filled with ice cubes, pour the coffee liqueur.
2. Add the milk and rye whiskey.
3. Stir well.
4. Enjoy and serve.

Cold Brew Martini Recipe by Town & County

Here's what you need:

• 1 oz. Absolut vodka
• 2 oz. Kahlúa
• 3 oz. cold brew

Here's how to mix:

1. Fill shaker with ice.
2. Add all ingredients and shake hard for at least 10 seconds to create a nice foam.
3. Strain into a cocktail glass to get rid of all the small ice chips.
4. Garnish with coffee beans.
