What you need:
- 1 batch Basic Sugar Cookie dough
- 1 tbsp. finely grated lemon zest
- 1 2-inch egg cookie cutter
- 1 ½-in. round cookie cutter
- ½ c. (1 stick) unsalted butter, at room temp
- 2 c. confectioners' sugar, plus more for dusting
- 1 tsp. pure vanilla extract
- Pinch salt
- 1 11- to 12-oz. jar lemon curd
Steps to prepare:
- Make cookie dough and add butter, sugar, and lemon zest. Cut out eggs with a floured egg cutter. To cut centers of half of eggs, use a round cutter. Bake and cool as instructed.
- Meanwhile, make buttercream: Use an electric mixer, to beat butter and confectioners' sugar for 2 minutes until stiff peaks form. Add vanilla and salt and mix.
- Working 1 at a time, spread all the cookies without holes on a baking sheet then top them with buttercream, about 2 tsp. each. Then top with cookies with hole cutouts. Fill each hole with lemon curd, about 1 tsp. each. Dust with additional sugar, if desired.
Homemade White Chocolate Reese's Egg Recipe

What you need:
- 3 c. powdered sugar
- 1 ½ c. creamy peanut butter
- ¼ c. butter or margarine, melted
- 2 tbsp. milk
- 2 bags (12 oz.) white chocolate chips
- 2 tbsp. shortening
- colored candy melts for drizzling on top optional
Steps to prepare:
- In a mixing bowl, beat powdered sugar, peanut butter, and butter until the dough gets crumbly. Add two tablespoons of milk and continue to beat until the dough softens. It’s okay if the dough is still crumbly.
- On a floured surface, roll the dough out to ½ thickness. Shape the dough to look like eggs with egg cookie cutters or with a knife.
- Place eggs on a cookie sheet and freeze for an hour.
- To make the chocolate dip, in a medium-sized bowl, add the chocolate and 1 tablespoon shortening and microwave for 30 seconds at a time until melted. Stir it after every 30 seconds and to make sure not to burn the chocolate.
- Dip each egg in the chocolate mixture and use a spoon to help cover in the chocolate. Place them on wax paper to set.
- If you prefer to use colored candy melts, melt each color in the microwave until melted. Stir it after every 30 seconds and to make sure not to burn the chocolate. Scoop the chocolate or pour into a small zip lock bag. Snip the corner and drizzle onto each egg.
- If more chocolate is needed, melt the second bag with the shortening. Enjoy!

- In a large bowl, add butter, marshmallow crème and vanilla and beat until smooth. Slowly beat in 3 cups of confectioners' sugar. In a medium-sized bowl, add ¼ cup butter mixture and yellow food coloring; mix well. Make 24 small balls: cover and chill for 30 minutes. Wrap plain mixture in plastic wrap; chill for 30 minutes.
- Dust with the remaining confectioners' sugar on the working surface. Divide plain dough into 24 pieces. To form an egg shape, wrap one piece of plain dough around each yellow ball. Place the eggs on a waxed paper-lined baking sheet and cover with plastic wrap. Freeze for 15 minutes or until firm.
- In a microwave, melt chips and shortening and stir until smooth. Dip each egg in the mixture; let excess to drip off. Place eggs on waxed paper. Refrigerate for 30 minutes or until set. If desired, decorate with icing and decorating candies. Store in an airtight container and refrigerate.
