Here's what you need:
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. chili powder
- Lime wedges
- 2 oz. fresh lime juice
- 2 tsp. hot sauce
- Dash of soy sauce
- Ice
- 12 oz. light Mexican beer, such as Modelo or Tecate
How to mix:
- In a shallow plate, add salt and chili powder and stir to combine. Rim the large serving glass with lime wedge and chili salt.
- In the serving glass, add lime juice, hot sauce, and soy sauce and stir to combine. Fill the glass with ice, then top with beer. Stir lightly, garnish with a lime wedge and serve.
Fresh Mint and Lemon Iced Tea by Kate Merker

Here's what you need:
- 8 c. water
- 3 3-inch strips Meyer lemon zest
- 1 large bunch fresh mint
- 5 tbsp. pure honey
- sliced Meyer lemons, sliced strawberries, mint sprigs, for garnish
How to mix:
- Bring water to a boil. Remove from heat and add lemon zest and fresh mint; let it steep for 5 minutes.
- Add pure honey, stir until dissolved. Strain into a pitcher and let it cool. Serve over ice with sliced lemons, mint sprigs and strawberries.

- 2 c. ice
- 1/4 c. blue curaçao
- 1 c. white rum
- 2 c. lemonade
- 4 lemon slices
- 8 maraschino cherries
How to mix:
- In each glass, add ¼ cup, a splash of blue curaçao, ¼ cup rum, and another ¼ cup ice. (The ice helps with the ombré.) And pour over ½ cup lemonade.
