  • 1 tbsp. fresh lime juice

Here's how to cook it:

  1. In a saucepan, add pumpkin puree, chicken broth, and pear nectar. Bring to a boil over high heat. Cover the pan, reduce heat to low, and let it simmer for 10 minutes.
  2. In a blender or in a food processor fitted with a chopping blade, process a 1 cup pumpkin mixture with peanut butter until smooth. Return the mixture to the saucepan with the remaining pumpkin mixture. Add garlic, ginger root, green onion, lime juice, salt, and cayenne pepper; cook for 10 minutes over medium heat.
  3. Put soup in soup plates and garnish with pumpkin seeds and chives, if desired.
  4. Serve immediately.

  3. In a large bowl, add all the dry ingredients. Add grated pumpkin and toss.
  4. In a medium bowl, whisk all the liquid ingredients and stir into dry ingredients.
  5. Transfer to prepared pans and bake on the middle shelf of the oven for about 35 minutes or until a wooden skewer inserted into the center of bread tests clean. Let the pans cool on a wire rack.

  2. To prepare the martini: In a cocktail shaker, add the ice cubes and remaining cocktail ingredients. Shake vigorously until shaker chilled to the touch.
